HTC's Opal to be launched as Viva?

Remember HTC's maybe-it'll-replace-the-Touch Opal? Well, it would seem if the rumors of this set existing are true -- and hey, they can be -- it'll not be replacing anything if it only features GPRS / EDGE. Specs potentially feature the same 200MHz OMAP CPU, a 2 megapixel camera, no 3G, and apparently TouchFLO 3D, too. No dates, prices, or anything else here, though we'll hopefully hear something either way soon.

old proc, no 3g, and it looks like it does have an inset screen too...
HTC... might as well ship these right to the Garbage dump..
I'm just waiting for someone to port that QVGA version of TF3D over to other devices.
HTC Source seems tothink that the device will launch on Monday in Asian markets under the dopod brand. http://htcsource.com/index.php?option=com_content&task=view&id=363&Itemid=1
Could work if its released for under $100. Maybe around $50 or so.
I dunno.... its bad enough with the high-end Touch running WinMo... to make this thing any lower would render it unusable.
Hi guys,
Thanks for republishing my picture and news, though gotten by means of other websites.
Alas, maybe a link to the original source may be due, no?
Here's the original story (in Italian) BTW: http://www.windowsmobileitaly.com/news/hardware/184.html
