AT&T's version of the Samsung Omnia actually the "Mirage," coming next month?

[Thanks, Bill]
Update: As we mentioned above, we're not sure exactly what the Mirage is -- so we wouldn't necessarily bet the farm on an Omnia clone here.

OMG I'm drooling!!!! *fanboi screech*
*smooths out clothing* I'm sorry you had to see that.
I'm happy.
As much as I'd like this to be true, it appears an at&t verison of this phone is still far from being confirmed.

thank god, I have been itching for a new phone for quite some time.
Uh, why did they change the name? Im getting sick of phone companies doing this for no reason but to further distance the phone from overseas, its pointless.
I've been waiting for this for a while now.
I was debating to buy omnia somewhere else, but I know the 3G will most likely not work in the US and I don't want to take a chance.
I've been using the Omnia i900 for almost a month on T-Mobile so I can't comment on 3G data but have had no trouble using the 3G voice network. The phone is great a few irritating exceptions: the keylock doesn't work immediately which means you have to be very careful about what is touches, random dialing or playing music is common; Samsung widgets aren't compatible with anyother Today items which means either way you have to make compromises; the phone frequently freezes (when carried inside a bag possibly from items bumping the touchscreen while locked) and has to be rebooted.
Once again. The i907 is NOT the Omnia. The i907 has a full QWERTY keyboard. There are no current plans for AT&T to carry the WM 6.1 Samsung Omnia.
THIS POSTING IS COMPLETELY INACCURATE!
The SGH-i907 is the Blackjack III. Look at the FCC renderings of the phone for gods sakes! It's the ATT/North American version of the SGH-i780/i788. GO LOOK AT THE FCC PAGE!
AGAIN, COMPLETELY WRONG. Engadget needs to edit this. DON'T SAY NOBODY TOLD YOU SO WHEN THIS PHONE LAUNCHES AND ISN'T THE OMNIA!
the blackjack III is the samsung i788, and the i907 is a variation of the samsung i620.

Wait.. So you're trying to prove one blog wrong by linking to another blog? Wow..such sweet sweet irony..
nope, i am not talking about the omnia, the article talks about the blackjack, not the omnia. Rytr, don be too drama
Wrong... The i907 is infact a QWERTY keyboard device with touchscreen. THE WM 6.1 OMNIA IS NOT ON THE ROADMAP FOR AT&T!
its basically an instinct for att. I mean really now.
But it's not an iPhone so yay! lol
Well, he didnt quite say that it IS the omnia...
he said one that "they'd like to believe will approximate the appearance and power of the i900 Omnia"
But i believe it will be the Omnia US.
I'd still like to believe that the Samsung i788 will be the Blackjack III....
i definitely agree with Marco Arellano about it being the i788.
though the FCC picture does resemble that of the Blackjack III... I havent heard anything about it being the BJIII,
but MANY people are reporting the i788 as the BJIII.
But idk about the rendition of the i620.....
Check out this website.....it says that there are two versions or the "Omnia" or "Mirage" coming to the US.
And it also confirms that the i907 is the Omnia.
Sorry lol its this website :
http://samsungnokia.com/admin/nokia/samsung-i907-and-i910-omnia-are-leaked-for-us/
Ok, why in the heck would they just put the name as the i907, if they were going to put it as the i620???
That makes absolutely no sense because when they do an americanized version it is always with a 7 on the end of the original product. There is also a CDMA version in the works as the i910...
Hey you guys are ALL WRONG! It's the i640 att is getting and IT'S NOT THE I907!!! It is the a767, it just came out on the FCC!

So now i'm about 97% sure that we are getting a version of the omnia
Okay... no... that may be a different phone at&t is getting,
but the i907 is definitely an at&t phone
Sorry, let me clarify...
I meant the i620 isn't coming, it's the i640 but as the a767
The Omnia or "Mirage" is coming as the i907
