If this phone flops, Part of the reason is because the phone is so goddamn ugly. T-Mobile's ugly stick keeps getting bigger. I think the *real* question is whether it will be that heinous in person. I hope this comes with myFavs (actually, I Dont care) but mostly, I hope it comes with UMA/Tmo @home service. Pictures of handsets by RIM and HTC leaked MONTHS ago have been spot-on accurate. The Kickstart is nearly identical to shots posted on BGR in May. The Diamond was leaked forever ago and (at least for the unlocked version) the pics were dead on. This current photo is relatively fresh; it was posted on this very site for the first time just over two weeks ago (Aug 30th). Also keep in mind that, assuming of course that the photo above isn't faked, it has a carrier logo stamped on it. Manufacturers don't put carrier logos on early concept devices. Finally, compare it to the FCC diagrams and the shape fits exactly. How much do you think this is going to change between now and the end of October?

If we further take into account the fact that T-Mobile has a history of uglifying devices with weird color schemes, I don't think it's a stretch of the imagination to assume that this is going to be one ugly ass phone.

frank

Comments on T-Mobile to sell Dream starting late October, sez WSJ

I was just about to say that, this is pretty much the final product. The FCC papers just prove it.

Although I too am hoping that the black version will look much nicer.

Nippero
