BGR Radio a good way to stay on top of Kim Kardashian's phone purchases
If we were wealthy beyond mortal comprehension, we'd be earmarking a sizable percentage of our mammoth budgets to acquiring opulent, ridiculous, and unreleased mobile tech -- that's just how we roll -- but for the Kim Kardashians and Carmelo Anthonys of the world, it seems garden-variety BlackBerrys are the way to go. Who knew? Boy Genius Report is parading out a list of musicians, athletes, and "stars" to chat up phones 'n such on its new BGR Radio segment, and in case you're interested, it turns out Kim's rocking nothing more than a Curve at the moment while Melo's excited about the Bold (and really, who isn't?). It looks like the show's lined up to become a regular segment, so if you've ever wanted to know just how tech un-savvy a celebrity can be, we've found your nirvana.

I'll admit I have watched the Kardashian show a few times and I noticed that she juggles 3 or 4 phones at one time, 2 for business and 1 for personal.
The Boy Genius Radio segment was really bad. It came off as a bad ad for BlackBerry and telenav. Plus the music was pure gangster rap, something I could care less about. I suffered through it to hear no news, or real talk about handsets.
Really disappointing.
No Mary J. love?! Lol
Hey Chris - very lame post.
Trying to figure out if you are a Carmelo-fan Boy or a Kardashian-Crash Test Dummie???
Most celebs carry Blackberries for some reason, and they consider them selves on the cutting edge of technolgy. "My Blackberriy can send emails" Wow, you'd be hard pressed to find a phone now a days that does not have that basic capability.
I recently had to configure a Blackberry for the VP of my organization and she tried to convince me that Blackberries are the holygrale of phones and that I should get one.......
Call Me Silly, but:
I thought to myself "No, I'd rather stick with my XDA Flame; packing two processors (an 520MHz Intel, and a Nivida GPU), 3.6", 192 DPI, VGA touch screen, 2 cameras (one for Video conferencing), Video out, USB Host capabilites, 3 speakers allowing for SRS WOW HD sorround Sound, with 128MB of dedicated RAM, running a tweaked version of Windows 6.1.
I think that pretty much renders a Blackberry Obsolete!!
I'm surprised she goes for the Blackberry. I'd think she'd be more interested in something with good low light video capability.
I'm not wealthy beyond mortal comprehension or spending a sizable percentage of my mammoth budget to acquiring opulent, ridiculous, and unreleased mobile tech.......but i have a bold! :)
