Google Maps for mobile gets Street View and walking directions

Google Maps for mobile just stepped up in the feature department with Google's inclusion of Street View in its newest version. In case you've been hiding under a rock -- or live in almost any other country aside from the US -- Street View offers up a storefront take on your world rather than the traditional top down look you see with common maps. The new version also includes walking directions which will ignore pesky one-way streets and the like. While the list of supported handsets is missing, we do see BlackBerry listed and Java-enabled phones, too, so do us a kindness, grab it and let us know if it works on yours.

I just tried downloading it on my Nokia N75 (AT&T) but got the same version 2.2.0.11
God forbid that Google (or most any software supplier) should do something as drastic as display the version of the software you're about to download!!
On my Kaiser it does display the version its about to download...2.2.0.19
I guess I'm more excited about the "walking directions" than Street view. SV is more of a wow-thing with no real practical functionality.
I also hoped it was exclusive to Android.
SV is great for the pre-planning ("wait, what am I going to be looking for when I get there?". Walking directions is great for "I need to get somewhere now" kinda situations.
My BlackBerry 8330 (Verizon) downloaded the new version (went to google.com/gmm on the browser) and it works perfectly. I agree with the above post that the Street View doesn't seem very useful, but it is cool looking.
Just got it on a Blackberry Curve, had to force the download because it didn't show up in Google Updater. New icon and new load screenIt seems to take a bit longer to load when started after the device is reset. Maybe this is just a first time occurrence though. Terms and conditions are on their own now as a popup that you must agree to before the map is displayed. Zooming no longer gives a box, it just zooms on the center of the map...seems pretty cool.
Oops I was downloading from www.google.com/m/products (which I have bookmarked) using the "Maps" link. If I correctly go to google.com/gmm the display shows "version 2.0.0.11 for Symbian" which is old and of course means that the Symbian version hasn't been updated yet.
i have an sch-i760, and its still the old version.
It's working on my BlackBerry 8330 (Sprint).
Its working Very well on my T-Mobile Blackberry Curve 8320!!!

I've heard that these new Street View features don't work on the iPhone version... Hurhurhurhur
My coat's the one with an HTC Hermes in it (did I mention Google Gears gives me Cell ID-based geolocation now, which also works with Google Maps and Google Mobile search?)
Yeah, no love on Windows Mobile. If you go to http://google.com/gmm, it'll tell you the version before you install it. 2.2.0.19 still for WinMo.
Did they also add a proxy setting for the PalmOS version?
Without a proxy setting, it's useless on T-Mobile unless you use the "bleed me dry" plan...
My bet is that "Street View" only works - right now in the Java version since, when I go to Goog and SMS the Goog-link I get takes me to a page that downloads the Java-nese version.
No dice on my N73.
