Nokia N82 joins N95, gets boosted to v30
N82 users seem to be among the most diehard fans in the entire Nseries stable, so we'd say they're owed a bone as a token of Nokia's appreciation for spreading the gospel. To that end, Espoo has brought firmware v30's splendors to the N82 hot on the heels of its N95 and N95 8GB debuts, offering a new Flash Lite build, Maps 2.0, speed and stability improvements, and a host of other tweaks. Sadly there's no N-Gage client bundled, but whatever -- it's available as a separate download, so no harm, no foul.

How do you mean they're the most diehard fans?
It seems like N82 owners really, really love their phones, and I pretty regularly see comments about it -- a disproportionate number of comments compared to the fraction that N82 sales make up in the Nseries lineup.
I have a US N95 8gb and the last time an update was released for this variant was in may of april of this year.... nokia really sucks at updating these phones. They really do.
You can always change your phone's region code! ;-) You'd get all the updates ASAP then! :-D
No he can't, he has n95-4 with US 3g support, and that one isn't compatible with the n95-2's product codes. Anyway, it's Nokia's habit to screw its US customers since there aren't that many of them.
This update was released a couple weeks ago. Lots of tweaks, mp3 player loads up a lot faster when storing LOTS of mp3's, less power consumption, and most def a brighter flash. GREAT improvements to an already GREAT phone!
