AT&T's Samsung Epix now epically official
It's already been floating around for a day or two, but Samsung and AT&T have decided to go ahead and follow up their latest WinMo smartphone's release to stores with... oh, you know, some actual press material. The i907 Epix rundown goes something like this: Windows Mobile 6.1 Professional, 3.6Mbps HSDPA, WiFi, Bluetooth, 2-megapixel cam, AGPS with AT&T Navigator, Video Share support, 320 x 320 2.5-inch touchscreen display, and one of those crazy "optical mice" for on-screen navigation when using the touchscreen itself is just too much trouble. Get it now (or yesterday, if you were really on the ball) for $99.99 on a two-year contract.

Was the screenshot photoshopped?
looks like a distinct possibility.
The screen was probably shopped just for the purposes of seeing it clearly in that picture, but that it exactly what the screen looks like on it. There's also a Samsung Today theme that's much nicer than the basic WinMo theme that, for whatever reason, Samsung's stock photos are lacking.
couldnt the space occupied by the AT&T logo have been used to house a larger screen maybe?
Eh...the features are very nice. But I have always hated the blackjacks keyboard. I wish Samsung would do something bou that.
That is a rather large amount of real estate used for the AT&T logo...
I so wish AT&T worked well in my area, I'm so sick of VZW choices of phones....Grrr...
I don't know about you guys, but I always find it difficult to deal with those QWERTY keyboard, especially the small one. Anyway, In terms of design I think that the design is a bit "usual" isn't it?

similar design as the blackjack series, as thick as the BJ1 with the extended battery but the center trackpad is awesome though!
$100 after a contract isn't bad at all...
I bet they could have fit something more in there if not for that ginormous carrier logo, lol
i just checkd att site, the price with 2 year contract is $199.99 not $99.99
It was on Premier for me today ... $99 after rebate on a 1 year contract.
Let's hope is has something besides Xpress Mail to handle e-mail. I'm eligible to upgrade, and I can tell you that I'm headed back to a Blackberry simply because ATT sticks that crappy Xpress Mail on so many non-BB devices. ATT knows it, but blames the frequent failures on the 3rd party vendor they by Xpress Mail from.
Can't you just choose not to use Xpress Mail and use the regular WM mail client or one of your own?
Has anyone looked on the website today? It's listed at $199 (after rebates), whereas yesterday it was clearly $99
wtf? What happened to the $99
If I hear of another front facing qwerty WM6 Pro smartphone being released that's not on Verizon, I'm going to go buy a couple dozens eggs and begin systematically egging the local Verizon stores...While they're open.
The $99 Price of yesterday was a mistake, I know cause I called AT&T. I had ordered it only minutes after they fixed the price.
