Word on the street is that the top ten Walmarts in each market will be getting hooked up with the
T-Mobile G1 on the 24th of November. That in itself isn't really news -- big boxes have really been ramping up their wireless sales as of late -- but here's where it gets juicy: we're hearing that they'll go for just $148.88 on a two-year contract. That'd certainly be consistent with Walmart's policy of selling stuff at weird prices that are slightly lower than everyone else, and in this particular case, it happens to add up to a solid $31.11 less than what you can do by waltzing into a T-Mobile corporate store. We're not sure it's enough of a discount to justify waiting a month -- but if late November was your window for picking up a G1 anyway, this just makes the deal that much sweeter.

Yes please.
Ever bought or updated a phone at a Wal Mart? It'll take more than a month of waiting, once they have it in stock it'll take another month of waiting at the counter for them to figure out their system to sell the phone.
I'd pay $32 to avoid Wal-Mart.
amen brotha, no wally world for me
i want my $31.11 back then tmobile ------ you heard?! hahahaha
You can now get the G1 at local T-Mobile stores for $154
Supposedly in November Best Buy & Radio Shack will have them for $100.

I work for Best Buy, We are already carrying the G1 in select Best Buy's in the Mobile department. We will also be carrying the Blackberry Bold as of 11/4 and the Blackberry Storm as of 11/16. Someone on here is giving mis-information because "Wally World" will not e the only one's carrying the G1 Android Powered Phone!
The $179 is only if you sign a 2 year contract. How would contracts work at walmart?
Just Imagine them signing you up....
The walmart in Rancho Cucamonga CA already has the promotional displays up.. Its like three signs so maybe it will be sooner than nov 24
The G1 will be in Walmart tomorrow on Wednesday October 29th - no word if they will have the white one.
