Why are they using a push OTA infrastructure for updates anyhow? Why not give users a way to manually check for updates at any time, and push the update to all the lingering people?
If anything, this would have me worried as a G1 owner. Last thing I want is T-Mo or any provider deciding when I need firmware updates, what updates I'm going to get, and not letting me choose what I want.
From what I understand you have the option of rejecting the update if you don't want to update your phone.
