So basically it is just a server-cloud kinda thing. You choose folders on your computer and then they get synchronized (in real-time) to the Live Mesh server and throughout your whole "mesh ecosystem". You can access file via a browser if your not on one of your own computers.
I assume it is the same for phones, but just using it as a file back sure beats the semi-automatic FTP synching I had going on before.
