There's no way Moto's share could have slipped by 31.7% over the past year. Their market share has always been below 20% overall.<br><br>Unless, of course, you meant a reduction of 31.7% from their original share which works out to 12.44% in Q3 '07.]]></description><dc:creator><![CDATA[Zane]]></dc:creator><pubDate>Nov 3rd 2008 8:27AM</pubDate></item><item><title><![CDATA[Comments on Nokia still atop global market share chart after Q3 2008]]></title><link>http://mobile.engadget.com/2008/11/03/nokia-still-atop-global-market-share-chart-after-q3-2008/</link><guid isPermaLink="true">http://mobile.engadget.com/2008/11/03/nokia-still-atop-global-market-share-chart-after-q3-2008/</guid><description><![CDATA[I think it's also quite impressive that in one years time Apple managed to grab 2% of the overall market, even if the gate was left open by Moto and Windows Mobile stumbles.<br><br>In 2 years time they could become one of the top five - and then it will be just a matter of strategy if they break the "one software platform" philosophy to become bigger or remain a niche player.<br><br>Nokia on the other hand spent all of their 2008 on reshuffling the cards, building infrastructure and moving into software. In my opinion 2009 will see a strong boost from the Ovi services, Comes with Music and maybe a 2H N-series touchscreen - not forgetting the Qt acquisition, which will speed up moving towards a similar "one software platform" approach as Apple.]]></description><dc:creator><![CDATA[Renegade Fanboy]]></dc:creator><pubDate>Nov 3rd 2008 9:48AM</pubDate></item></channel></rss>
