this is stupid! the first one was fake and so is this one. i would know i work for verizon. if there was an issue with switch equipment in the midwest with this phone they would have pulled the device nationwide in all channels not just send some random (and fake looking) email to a single call center! the device was never pulled and there is no new software for the device either. the last software that came out for the device was to fix issues with the touchscreen and that was a few months ago. the only device verizon has pulled ever was the samsung i760. the i760's with MEID's had issues maintaining a data connection but only in the nortel parts of the network. they pulled all the devices because it had issues with the network. not all the markets have nortel components but they still pulled the device nationwide! when they did that they sent out email to everyone in the company. call centers and retail! just think about it for a second. why would they tell one call center to stop selling the device and continue to let all the others and all the retail store continue to keep selling the device if they knew it had issues? its common sense!
Say what you want. I tried buying the Glyde last week & was told it was on quarantine for a week or so. This was in a retail store. I called the b2b channel & was told the same thing. But hey, you work for Verizon, so you must know everything right?
you're going to be eating your words tomorrow. what's your corporate email addy? i can forward you links to the 4 infomanager alerts, the technical support tool software release notes, and original quarantine emails. larger dial pad, increased touchscreen usability (hopefully better than the BL25 update ... has anyone tried to use backup assistant with that touchscreen? its a great example of how messed up with phone is).
you also forgot the Knack as another Samsung having problems authenticating with the Nortel network as well.
No wonder the Verizon reps people know nothing. They work for the company and can't even access their VZW email account to get this information, so this just gets called fake. That's comforting.
