You can do an exception upgrade if you want to, if you're not eligible for a standard upgrade yet. An exception upgrade is the 2 year contract price + $75. You're eligible for that exception upgrade as soon as 6 months into your contract (only 1 exception upgrade per every 12 months though). Not much of a discount off of the full price, but still something. But if your contract is up in February, you should be able to upgrade now, or soon, since upgrades are available at the latest 20 months into the 24 month contract.
