Vertu's Signature S Design gets handled -- gently
At a staggering 242,380 Czech crowns (about $12,331), Vertu's latest Signature S Design model certainly isn't for everybody -- in fact, we'd venture to say that it's very nearly for nobody -- but putting the positively stupid pricing aside for a moment, you have to admit that this thing is beautiful in its own way. IDNES.cz somehow managed to grab both stainless steel and gilded versions of the 3G candybar, revealing that the user interface is about as plain-vanilla as any other Series 40 device out there (what do you expect for the price of a small car?) but the hefty body looks as beautiful in person as it does in Vertu's carefully-prepared PR. It apparently feels great, too -- not like we'll ever know. Anyone need a kidney?

Ummmm, you obviously don't know how the internet works. I doubt you'll get one sell off that ad. In fact, if I ever accidentally happen onto Mobile2World I will intentionally not buy from you guys. Why? Because I'll remember this atrocious ad. You are actually losing customers this way. People are intentionally linking your company to VI@GR@ ads and other spam-type companies.
You're going to get so voted down that only maybe 50 people will even see that ad. And those 50 people are soooo tech-savvy that they pretty much build those electronics you listed from their own PCB soldering skills and cracked OSes from China.
This thing is a hideous, over priced, lacking, piece of crap! Any one that would buy this has to be a nitwit with more money than brain. You can get a phone that is light years ahead of this thing. This is what I would get if I had the funds to blow on a phone and it’s not $12 grand.

You're an ass.
So, that works out at just over £7000, and it's a bog standard Nokia in a fancy hat. Just think of what you could buy instead, like a phone (that does the same without being made of jewellery) and 10937 Star Bars...
(And yes, i was sad enough to sit down and work out how many Star Bars you could get with the price of the phone: http://www.mobileshop.com/blog/mobile-phone-news/super-luxury-mobile-phones-you-dont-want-the-vertu-signature-s-design/)
This thing is butt-ugly and the technology is so 2002. I don't think it's worth $123, let alone $12300.
The only Vertu I consider attractive at all is the Constellation, and like the other Vertu phones it's SO not worth the price. But I suppose there will always be those that step off their private jet, whip out their mobile, and berate their domestic help from thousands of miles away. And to that crowd, there is only one phone to use: Vertu.
