Meizu M8 Flash demo hits the scene, looks mighty familiar

How much ASCII will be spilled, how much bandwidth utilized on this legendary (if vaporous) iPhone killer before it becomes a real reality? Like the tail end of a torrid love affair, we're not even sure if it's the phone itself that we dig or the soap opera that we enjoy so much. And now, hot on the heels of the hands-on video that has captured the imagination of the entire world, Meizu has posted a flash demo of the M8's UI for those of you thirsting for a closer look at the thing. SPOILER ALERT: It bears a strong resemblance to the interface of a certain Apple product.

Btw, why do we still care about the Meizu M8? It first came out in response to the first iPhone, and with release of the iPhone 3G, it STILL hasn't been released. What is so great about this COPYCAT that we have to keep covering it?
Actually the M8 was announce four days before iphone. So it's not copycat form iphone.
Faster cpu, 720*480 dvd's native resolution screen, Twice ram (and next version that have 4 times of ram is in plan). Price about $200 - $250 w/o 2 year contract (Contracted phone to reduce price is possible).
Music: APE, FLAC, WMA, OGG, WAV, MS-ADPCM, MP3, AMR, AAC, AAC-LC
Movie: H.264, MPEG-4, WMV 3, H.263, DIVX, XVID, DX, MPEG-1, FLV
Just because it may have been "announced" before the iPhone was officially, doesn't mean that it didn't try to copy it at all. Let's not kid ourselves here with the STRONG resemblance to the iPhone OS.
Why does Engadget keep giving these chinese pirates a single word of press?? I think this site is their best ally in spreading their knock-off, copyright-infringing, intellectual property-stealing propaganda. They should just fire their advertising company and pay Engadget!
Give them a break. I always love the 'Keepin' It Real Fake' coverage. As for this, it's like an accident. You can't look away. Thanks Engadget. The best site ever.
I think the KIRF series is good because it brings awareness. But the Meizu M8 articles are just groveling.
Well I actually think that those icons are far nicer then the shitty ones on my iphone (well before I jailbroke it
