although its a step in the right direction, this phone is still very lacking in capability.
it now has two calendars effectively: one built into the email client and can only be synced with exchange and lotus; and one that is standalone in the phone but cannot be synced with anything at all. What a shit show....
how about all the ical and gcal users out there? i am to believe that there were more exchange and lotus users (who typically own blackberries) using an instinct for their day-to-day business than other (non-exchange/lotus) calendar users? This can't be, anyone who bought the instinct for actual business use returned it right away, while the rest of us regular folk who stayed patiently waiting with a promise of a better calendar are still SOL.
don't get me wrong though, this phone works great as a phone, camera, timer, alarm, web browser (no thanks to sprint, thanks to opera mini), and news / sport score / weather reader. mp3 player and sprint tv is still so bad its unusable. video player is good enough. overall i'm happy.
“The HD2 is a magnificent monster. It is a hulking, intimidating, massive slab of a gadget. If you think the device looks big in photos, it's nothing compared to how it seems up close.”
