The UMTS version will not require a separate plan. You just insert the SIM from your existing phone when you want to use the hotspot, and remove it when you want to use your phone.

Can you change the internal battery?
If this is only good for 4 hours hours, I think I'd rather buy the N78 and all the spare batteries.
How much will it cost?
If its more than $300, I think I'd rather buy the N78 since it does more than just be a hotspot.
Do I need another wireless plan?
Well yeah, a second account that will probably cost $70 a month. $15 a month to use data on the N78 instead.
