Google Street View lands on S60 and Windows Mobile

Nokia's S60 and Microsoft's Windows Mobile were both treated to a Google Maps for Mobile update today with Google Street View. Apparently the popularity of S60 and Windows Mobile in new Street View markets like France, Italy, Spain, and Australia helped drive the 2.3 update, that also includes walking directions, transit alerts, and a revamped user interface. BlackBerry, iPhone, and Android users have had this functionality for a short spell, but it is refreshing to see the feature rolling out into other handsets. So, if you want to give it a run just pop over to google.com/gmm, follow the instructions, download, and pop back with your stories.

And so slowly, we are taking over, and with the third eye, watching your every move.
glad its available now, but dont understand why the two largest platforms were the last to get it.
I, for one, welcome our new Google overlords.
I just installed it on my Treo 700wx with a cooked 6.0 ROM and it works great. I like the interface and fonts better than the previous version, too.
Just fired it up on WinMo (Sprint Mogul/Tytn). Not too bad, not bad at all. Quite zippy unlike a great many things on WinMo. I wish there was more Street View in my area but eh.. what can you do?
Works great on my Nokia E71-2 even though it's on EDGE only (T-Mobile US).
works great on my tilt. wonder if this means the g1's compass feature will be coming to wm also?
