Neonode N2 since 2004, finally caved after looking
so vulnerable in late July. According to Per Bystedt, CEO and Chairman of Neonode: "For the past six months we have focused on turning the business around and solving the financial situation of Neonode AB; we continue to have great belief in our technology and believe we have a competitive product in the Neonode N2 but without sufficient funds we cannot continue operations." No word of a revamped OS. No word of
hardware tweaks. Nothing that sounds to us like they really
want to survive in today's high-stakes handset market. At any rate, the parent company is hoping to trudge on as a technology licensing company, with or without
Mr. N2.

Need I say more... dont design a fricken phone - RELEASE THE DAMN THING!!
Actually, Neonode would have just needed to sign some license agreements with established manufacturers. If it had released a phone it would have had to spend a lot of money trying to market it due to being a no-name. But if it had been able to intrigue Nokia or Samsung or LG to the point where one of them was interested in licensing, that could have really helped out Neonode.
Oh, well. There are other touch technologies out there.

I have one of these units and its a very nice device - There are however bugs...
I hope that NeoNode release the source code of their OS is they do go under - At least then the community can fix some of the bugs which are currently present.
Looks like this will be a collectors item - Just like my SE BeiBei and Paris :)
