T-Mobile Cameo digiframe gets unboxed, toyed with
The unique, cell-connected T-Mobile Cameo has been on sale just under a month now, and our brethren over at Engadget Spanish were able to acquire one for testing. As always, they unboxed things first to satisfy your never-ending desire for undressed gadgets, and even threw in a few impressions to boot. Essentially, setup was a snap, and operation couldn't have been simpler. Now, if only there were a way to make that monthly charge for staying connected simpler to digest; hit the read link for lots more shots.

If it were just like $2 or $3, it would be more palatable, but $9.99?? Seriously, T-Mobile GET REAL. Better yet, it should be included in a family messaging plan at least. Not like this thing's gonna be receiving any more MMS than a cellphone!
This is also subject to the $200 cancellation fee, isn't it? Just like the @Home line.
No, it's actually not under contract and can be cancelled any time without a penalty. It's also worth noting that there is no activation fee.
Trickinit is right. It's not under any contract.. can be cancelled any time. AND the 9.99 isn't bad when you consider that most unlimited SMS/MMS packages cost between 5 and 10 bucks when you add them to a regular cell phone service. That's really what the 10 bucks a month is for is the bandwidth supporting the messaging services.
And I dunno about you guys, but considering the number of MMS messages I get flooding *my* phone I'd rather have them go over to the Cameo.. :|
