We've suspected
for a while that LG would be bringing a version of its ultra-thin, 5-megapixel
Secret slider to AT&T, and now, we've got some hard evidence to back it up. The latest rebate form for the carrier -- dated December 26 to January 24, though that definitely doesn't guarantee the phone will launch in that timeframe -- lists a $50 discount on the CF750 Secret along with the Motorola VA76r "Tundra," a rugged flip that has
already launched on Rogers and will be coming to do battle with Samsung's beefy
Rugby. Exciting times to be on AT&T, eh?
[Thanks, Kal]
where's that sexy e71x?!?
Urgh....
After looking at this (and reading the dates: December 26 - January 24) I'm assuming that us AT&T customers WON'T be seeing the highly rumored Blackberry Curve 8900 anytime soon.
Why did I read this? This kills all my thoughts of getting one of these placed under my Xmas tree. Oh well....guess I'll keep on waiting far into the new year.....
Maybe the 8900 will not have a rebate, only an up-front amount... That would be even sweeter than having to pay 300 up front and waiting for that $100 rebate.
True true......that would be amazing (but highly unusual).....
And just where is the E71x?????
I work for AT&T, and while the phones are on the rebate form, the only one we know that may be releasing soon is the Tundra. We haven't gotten any documentation from corporate about the Secret, though an LG rep walked in a couple days ago talking about it. Hopefully it comes out soon, it looks pretty sweet.
