I don't know if you're trying to dogg T-Mobile or not but thats not really a fair comment if it is considering Other Companies do that SAME exact thing but the difference here is that the G2 will be more than Marginally different than the G1 so its not going to be "Just another T-Mobile Android Device" as you so Callously say.

That defeats the whole purpose of android / logging into your gmail account being required - it already backs up your contacts (and calendar) carrier-free.
