SlingPlayer Mobile for WinMo adds new resolutions, devices
While the BlackBerry camp sits and waits patiently for its public beta to begin in a few days, Sling has been hard at working bringing its SlingPlayer Mobile for Windows Mobile up to snuff for the latest round of devices finding their way into pockets as of late. Notably, the app supports several new resolutions -- 800x480, 640x480, 400x240, and 320x320 -- and a whole host of new phones, including the AT&T Fuze, Sprint / Verizon Touch Pro, and the Samsung Epix, among eleven others. The update is available immediately; should be interesting to see how this looks on an X1 clipping along at WVGA, eh?

Just installed it on my sprint Touch Pro. Not sure if I can tell a difference... I dont see the options to change the resolution either...
that picture shows the verizon mogul as the vx6800. It really is the *XV*6800
Nice, but still no iPhone love. :(
I just downloaded the update and while it didn't list the Treo 800w, it works! It had previously suffered from a 1/2 size picture but now fills the screen in all it's 320x 320 glory.
I hate to bring it up, but... iPhone? Really? Nice to see that Sling still knows cell phones exit though.
Just so evereyone understands, this app does not enable the streaming of higher resolutions like 640x480, etc. The max streamed resolution is still 320x240, but with this update, it just means that on devices with higher resolutions such as 640x480, the video will be properly scaled to whatever resolution your device supports. Hence, the higher resolutions listed are 'supported' but the video stream your device is receiving is still a max of 320x240.
WinMo is on serious decline so who cares..
Sure WinMo is in decline. Are you on crack, or just a moron? Keep rockin' your RAZR, the rest of us have real use for our Cells.
I don't enjoy smoking pole like you do. The latest data is available and go see for yourself if you are not moron.
WinMo is on decline worldwide!
Ya, it's like when those new Mac commercials came out and everyone said that PC was losing it's monopoly. Sure 90% of people who own a computer are using a Windows PC, but Mac now has about 5% so PC must be in decline.
I do appreciate that you're automatic retort necessitated some sort of homophobic attack. Maybe you have too much Gay on the mind and needed to lash out at the hauntings whelling up inside of you. It's ok man, you can can still fit in with those 5% of the population. And you're in luck, I think there's more gays than 5%, so it may be the straights are in decline too!
You know jack shit about cell phone market. Your stupid assumption is that MS has a big market share for desktop OS and therefore WinMo market share must be big. This is far from the truth. Cell phone OS market is fragmented with many players. You have Symbian, Blackberry, Apple, Palm and now Google. According to Gartner report, WinMo is in fourth place worldwide behind Symbian, Blackberry and Apple. Are you in shock moron? Read this and shut up afterward!

Dude. According to your article, WinMo is down 3%. Considering we're in a Recession and on the crest of a Depression, 3% isn't even considered down. The S&P lost 40% this year. THAT is a decline.
You're opening quote was: 'WinMo is on serious decline so who cares..'
3% is hardly a 'serious decline' especially in our economy.
