Seidio adds 400mAh to your G1 without a new cover
We've been hearing intermittent reports that T-Mobile may or may not be sending new, better batteries for owners of juice-deprived G1s in the field, but in the meantime, Seidio has a solution of its own. This 1400mAh battery is rated a full 400mAh higher than the OEM unit, presumably giving you an extra hour or two of Android-powered bliss between charges -- and even better, it fits in the same space with no replacement cover needed. $42.95 sounds steep, but then again, it's hard to put a price on talk time.

"$42.95 sounds steep, but then again, it's hard to put a price on talk time."
Funny, cause carriers have no problem putting prices on talk time T_T
The regulat battery is sold for 49.99 @ T Mobile Stores... So 42 sounds better
I wonder how quickly these will sell out.
I already returned my G1. I think I will wait for the G2 or whatever its called. The G1 is coming along great. I am just not going to watch it "grow up" at my expense.
What phone are you using now?
hr or 2 more usuable time is awesome. id get it in a heartbeat.
Someone explain to me why HTC doesn't release their phones with these higher capacity batteries in the first place? It's the same size as the HTC battery, so why can't HTC do this? Are these Seidio and Mugen Power batteries less stable or something?
I mean even 1400mha is only about 15% improvement over what HTC provides, so it could be a simple cost cutting or convenience measure for HTC.
I dont have a real problem with mine lasting all day. Maybe because I have a job, and am not texting, IMing emailing and screwing around trying to find free Wifi spots all day.
I have the 1400mah battery from seido....I don't see ANY improvement. If anything, I get equal/less battery life than I did on the stock battery.
I'm done with the G1 for now, my E71 comes tomorrow ;)
this battery is a rip off
