Pharos rolls out Traveler 137, coming this quarter for $599.95
3.5's the magic number with Pharos' new Windows Mobile-based offering: 3.5-inch display -- wide VGA, no less -- and 3.5G data. The Traveler 137 rolls deep with the best HTC has to offer (owing in no small part to their ODM partnership with Inventec, we figure) with 512MB of Flash, 256MB of RAM, AGPS, 7.2Mbps HSPA on T-Mobile USA (seriously!) and European bands, WiFi, 3-megapixel cam, and the kitchen sink thrown in for good measure. Kinda sounds like a keyboardless X1, doesn't it? Look for it to hit retailers this quarter for a nickel under $600.

No HSPA on 850 so not good for ATT
But probably looks to be a good phone if you want a screen keyboard
Actually, it sounds like a Touch HD with a trackball and Windows/OK buttons. Two things that the Touch HD should have had, in my opinion.
I have got an HTC touch HD and I never missed a trackball or another button even once.
At most sometimes I wish it had a feature I have on the phone I bought for work : the little genial mouse trackpad of my Samsung omnia. But both phones are so good I would'nt know which one is the best among them.
This phone however looks like the ugly copy of my touch HD which with a 3" screen is as big as I practical cellphone can possibly be: 3,5 seems absolutely excessive and unpractical to me
I don't believe it at all, after X1 and Velocity Mobile betrayal, except I see FCC test results with WCDMA IV (1712.4-1752.6) clearly stated and tested
So with this theoretically work with T-Mobile USA 3G?
what a super generic design - yawn
Hmm.. I still prefer my X1. :P
Any competition to HTC in the sector of Winmobile large screen VGA/WVGA devices is a good thing. This looks interesting.
Any word on what CPU powers this? Does it have a graphics processor with appropriate drivers that actually allow its use?
You all realize T Mobile doesn't have 3G yet? Or rather, it's not nationwide 3g.
