Palm's new website devoid of dedicated PDAs
Palm is kicking off the new year with an all-new site (worthy of an entirely new platform, perhaps?), and while that's not really news in and of itself, it's interesting to see that they've now completely cleansed the most visible pages of traditional PDAs -- you know, those crazy things Palm made its name building. The move was expected since Colligan announced last year that they'd be moving to a phone-only model, but what wasn't expected was the optical illusion Palm's trying to pull here. Seriously, the depth of field makes the 800w looks like an 800w nano, which, you know, isn't an entirely accurate representation.

Of the 3 remaining phones:
One phone is a loss-leader whereby virtually no significant revenue is derived;
One phone has been discontinued (after remaining inventory is emptied);
One phone is broadly recognized as a reconstituted rehash of every prior WM Treo and supplies the envious distinction of providing that .1 OS upgrade.
Their next innovation? An OS platform built from the ground-up for entertainment. Just what the corporate/investor world needed just in time for the market to be contracting at record-setting levels. Great visionary leadership there, Palm.
Maybe its just a HUGE table...
"Seriously, the depth of field makes the 800w looks like an 800w nano, which, you know, isn't an entirely accurate representation."
That centance mayks know scense.
"the depth of field makes the 800w looks like an 800w nano"
I'm going to argue semantics here since you guys should know better: The effect you're trying to describe is caused by an artificial "perspective", not "depth of field".

Why can't you find someone else to antagonize? Incorrectly, may I add?
So...
The Centro is the only device they have left with the Palm OS on it?
Have you even seen one? That looks accurate to me. They are smaller than previous Treos... You actually might have something there comparing thickness but....
The Treo Pro is the perfect form factor...
