The phone can be used with fingers only or with the pick that comes with it if stylus feels too dated as an input method. You can't write for example Chinese without a stylus easily.
If you made a comment like that, then you aren't aware that the stylus is primarily for handwriting recognition, you don't need it to operate the rest of the phone.
I haven't used it yet. Even w/ super small web text it's been nearly perfect. However, if I were doing math (like the handwriting calculator) I'd be very happy to have one of these instead of writing w/ a fingernail or tip.
