Bold is nice, but its seriously chunky and they go wrong far more often than I'd be comfortable with.

Storm is just a huge disapointment, poor man's iphone if ever there was one.

Bold - Software is shocking and seems to NEED a 3G SIM here in the UK otherwise always dropping signal (at least on O2)

The battery would also die really fast. All that with the chunky bulky form factor sent me running for the 8900.

My RIM rep gave me an 8900 to showcase to management in an effort to steer us all into upgrading. I have to say that this is THE BEST BlackBerry I've ever used.

Not only does it have a full qwerty, it looks as elegant as it feels. We use the UMA service inside our huge building since we have WiFi all over the place and it works flawless. Calls are crystal clear and hand off to T-Mobile's network just fine.

The screen is gorgeous and the processor really kicks butt. I was leaning towards the Storm which I thought looked cool but after using both the 8900 is really a much more stable workhorse that I'd feel more comfortable using long haul.

Not all corporations insist on the 88xx series or the Bold. Many of them like our global enterprise org use the Curve series and have had the best luck with them.

I'd highly recommend the 8900 to those who are not going to have heart failure over the lack of 3G. Yes, the Bold is bigger than the Curve. Took me a while to get it because of the size, but within 24 hours or so, you get used to it. Yes, the battery is not as good as it should be and it 'does' take a while to charge. This IS a big let down I must admit. But, the device is serious, stable, and highly functional. I have had exactly one odd issue where it actually recovered itself, but I rebooted anyway. It runs for weeks at a time w/o a reboot.

It's the best I've used thus far...and I've had the 857 (old pager style), 6210, 6230, 6550, 7210, 7230, 7520, 7280, 7290, 7780, 7730, 7750, 7250, 8800, 8320, and now this 9000.

That all being said, when RIM finally gets the urge to put 3G in the 8900, I'll probably go to that device.
