Sprint Treo Pro officially unavailable again -- for now

"Sprint inadvertently posted information on Sprint.com regarding an upcoming product, Palm Treo Pro, this morning. We apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused. Sprint looks forward to welcoming this exciting, new device into our portfolio as soon as it has been approved through our customary testing process. We will share details on the correct availability date as soon as the standard testing of both the device and its interaction with our network has concluded. Thank you for your interest in Sprint products."
Um, it officially releases Sunday. Why act like its not? I played with one at a Sprint corp store yesterday even!!
Went to Sprint yesterday for a repair to my phone and was told that it was released YESTERDAY, but only for order and the store would have them Monday for sale.
Went today for the repair and was told that it wasn't released and that they had to be trained on the phone by Feb 8th and he thought because of that, "of of them have to be trained before Sprint will release it", it wouldn't be until may.
I bought my Touch Pro with the idea that I could trade it in before the 30 days.
Oh well the Pro rocks.
its NEVER a good idea to get a phone with the intention of trading it in 30 days...the release dates and availibility are never static and are subject to change w/o warning....
esepcially since im a Tech in an affiliate market...theres no telling when we will get something...
just be patient and get the phone you REALLY want instead of depending on something thats unreliable
Aww man, I hit the "buy" link and when I went to check out, it said "Palm Pre" with no price, in my cart. I confirmed the order with Sprint Customer Support and they said they the lucky few people who tried to buy the Treo Pro actually are going to be part of a test trial with the Pre in select markets.
My Pre should be here Monday. Lucky me!
If you read this last line first, laugh at everyone else who replied to my comment with "OMG I want a Pre, you're so lucky!!!"

I have the Pro in my hands, it will be sooner than later.
I have had the Pro since Tue(Sprint employee). It's better than 800W in regards to browser(flash lite included). It looks good(but fingerprint magnet front to back-I like 800 matted finish for better grip & no smudge). It has access to Sprint music store(800 didn't). Comes with link/program Kinoma Freeplay(the free not full version of Kinoma). I've had the 700P, Centros(original & refreshed one), & the 800W, overall the Pro is nice, but I want the Pre.
Dude, we ALL want the Pre.
No, only the hypocritical iPhone-bashers of a year+ ago want the Pre.
