Rogers can't even get unlimited data going. Rogers is SHIT. But they're Canada's only GSM provider (Fido is owned by Rogers) so I have no choice. If only Bell went GSM...
Bell and Telus have both stated that they will have GSM phones in their library within a year or two. They will keep the CDMA as well though. Hopefully that will wake Rogers up and make everyone's prices drop dramatically. And then the Leprechauns and unicorns will come from the land of Nod and show us powerful wisdom and insights into life love and happiness. That or we will still get raped on prices like always.
But ya, Bell and Telus really are going to have GSM soon...
"This is huge news for the wireless industry in Canada. We are hearing strong rumours than both Bell and Telus will be switching (or at least launching) an HSPA (GSM) network in Canada by 2010. You heard it here first. Rumours and speculation about the switch have been swirling for a while, but this time it looks like it’s for real."
“It's rare if a month flies by without some random university or DIYer proclaiming that the next major jump in battery technology is just over the horizon.”
Now that we've thrown 'em off the trail, use the form below to get in touch with the people at Engadget. Please fill in all of the required fields because they're required.

Now that is what I like to hear. I might become a customer in 2011/2012 once everything sets in, unless Rogers can do something dramatic.
