Sprint Treo Pro spotted in the wild, specs and all
Thanks, Best Buy -- we owe you one another. Yet again, we're getting our first real live look at a recently unveiled Sprint handset courtesy of the big box retailer, and this time it's the CDMA version of Palm's Treo Pro. We're also being blessed with a look at the specs sheet, which shows Bluetooth 2.0+EDR, 512MB of storage (300MB available to the user), a two megapixel camera (with a digital 8x zoom and video capture), removable 1,500mAh Li-ion battery good for five hours of talking, a microSDHC slot, microUSB 2.0 port, 3.5-millimeter headphone jack, WinMo 6.1 Professional, a 528MHz Qualcomm dual-core MSM7501A CPU, 320 x 320 touchscreen, EV-DO Rev. A support, 802.11b/g WiFi and built-in GPS (standalone and assisted). So, aside from the cell radio, it's pretty much the same Treo Pro we've grown to know and kinda-sorta love. No price was posted, but it's not like Sprint hasn't already told us -- have fun in the gallery below!

Wow! Is it retro-day at Sprint/BestBuy? I just had a flash-back to 2002.
The Palm Treo Pro is priced at $699.99 if purchased outright through Best Buy. It's on their website.
I am one of the most well-known wireless leaders in Northern California providing wireless solutions for corporate accounts. The difference between my company and everyone else is my exceptional vision and leadership especially on the B2B side. Without sacrificing quality, integrity, and customer service, my abilities have gained me the knowledge and expertise to win numerous awards including top seller award for Northern California from a variety of wireless carriers. Having said that, I was approached by Nextel in 2002 to become one of their B2B Authorized Representatives as a result of my success from previous years. With my exceeding success through the B2B channel, Nextel approached me to do a joint venture on launching new retail locations in the Northern California market since there was no strong retail presence. With knowledge, experience, and expertise I put together one of the most dynamic teams of highly motivated and well qualified communication consultants. In 2003, my ex-colleague and dear friend was invited to join in this new vision. I launched eight locations in Northern California and I was invited to launch new locations in Arizona, Colorado, and Minnesota. In 2005, when the merger with Sprint occurred, the new management team: Mark Sadighian, Paul Harris, and Dennis McSweeney no longer shared the vision that Nextel had with my company. At the same time I found out that my partner was embezzling money and started a new wireless company with another carrier. When I approached Mark Sadighian with my new found news, the advise that I received was to separate our partnership and for me to start a new company under a new name. I was granted an exclusive dealer contract with Sprint/Nextel and their service center. Two months into my new company, I submitted six new retail locations that were denied to me for expansion, but at the same time were handed to someone else. Sprint/Nextel set me up for failure, after I invested hundred of thousands of dollars into the new company. Sprint/Nextel decided at that point not to support me in my visions, ideas, and ventures. As a result, I am seeking other dealers that have had a similar experience as me for a class action lawsuit. Before I posted my story online, I requested the immediate assistance from the CEO of Sprint, Daniel Hesse. He never responded to any of my emails, and at this point left me with no choice, but to put together a class action lawsuit for Authorized Dealers. I will not stop until my losses are compensated. If you are interested in contacting me with any questions, concerns, or to assist me in participating in this class action lawsuit please email me at: sprintactionlawsuit@gmail.com or visit www.nextel.bz
This thing was supposed to release 1/21, Sprint had the phones ready for ordering and activation but on 1/23 they pulled the phone from all systems. Their memo didn't talk about what the problem was but talked about taking all promotional material down and if anyone had ordered phones for inventory to pull and not to sell. New release date is 2/15, Pricing has not changed as of yet, the current pricing available states it'll cost $249.99 after $100 MIR on 2 year contract. My recommendation would be proceed with caution considering the phone was launched for 2 days then pulled abruptly.
And no one noticed this when putting this article up?

^It's hysterical that it shows up as "Backordered".
That page also says it's a GSM device.
^^^ Point?
^Also hysterical that you simply don't get it.
Home-schooled?
those pics look like they're of a dummy phone
it is a dummy phone...we got them about a week or two ago anticipating the 23rd launch...
If you want some comedy, read the comments in the Treo Pro Review that's linked in this post. The comments about how there won't be a new Palm OS or how it will suck are now hilarious.

Well when you consider that there are a lot of people out there like me that can only use long established OS's like WM or Palm OS due to the software we need to run for our business, then new OS's DO SUCK for us at least. If i only needed the basic Exchange server connectivity for my mailbox (notice I didn't say just email access) and these new OS's provided full Exchange functionality, than maybe I could look forward to the new OS...but...

Why is it always Mr. Blurry Cam with these pictures? This is pathetic. The background is in sharp focus and the phone is blurred up. You think they're doing this intentionally.
and nobody at engadget got the scoop that the phone was delayed till Feb 15th? Gizmodo 1ups you: http://i.gizmodo.com/5138668/palm-treo-pro-delayed-but-does-anyone-care
