Things haven't been quite so rosy for some of its
rivals, but it looks like Verizon is at least managing to keep its head above water for the time being, with the company now reporting that its fourth quarter earnings rose a relatively impressive 15%, which is being largely attributed to growth in its wireless and broadband units. In cold hard cash terms, that translates to a net income of $1.24 billion on $24.6 billion in revenue, which is just ever so slightly shy of the $24.76 billion analysts have been forecasting. In less positive news, however, the company says it netted just 1.4 million customer additions in the quarter, which is down from 1.5 million the previous quarter, and a full 2 million in the fourth quarter of 2007. Hit up the link below for the complete rundown of the numbers.
great. now can they PLEASE open their fricken phones up?! for the love of god!
Please take your moldy old arguement out of here sandwhich. Its not welcome around these parts anymore. Research a phone, any phone released in the past 6 months, show me where its profiles are crippled.
Or would you rather complain about the UI? Im sure you would because you are a just a repeater, a parrot.
While 1.4 million Q4 2008 net adds is down from the 2.0 million net adds in Q4 2007, VZW still had more net adds than any other carrier in Q4 2008.
While that may turn out to be true the other numbers havent been posted yet so I wouldnt speculate just yet elgee.
2.1m add gains for AT&T in Q4. "The Network" wants to thank you for jinxing them elgee. :P
Come to think of it that's even better than what VZW did in Q4 of 2007 too. Hmmph.
As much as I dislike all the Apple fanboy-ism (it's a cool phone, get over it) I have to thank Apple and the iPhone for playing a HUGE role in making my network bigger and better.
Can you hear me now? Hello? Hey, where'd everybody go?
Yea ... thanks for forcing me to get a data plan. I cant get the phone I want because of it ... thanks JERKS
why buy a phone if you arent going to use it what its designed for. quit being cheap and live a little. add the data feature and get over it
