It always brings joy to our hearts to see a new UMA-compatible device come into the market, and T-Mobile's
revised Shadow from HTC certainly fits the bill. In fact, it's being launched today as the very first
Windows Mobile device to support HotSpot calls over WiFi, joining
BlackBerrys and a
handful of dumbphones on the support list. Speaking of HotSpot dumbphones, the stylish 7510 flip is also hitting shelves today with changeable faceplates, a trick semi-hidden external display, and 2 megapixels of Pulitzer-caliber shooting power around back in addition to the WiFi radio. Nab the Shadow for $199.99 and the 7510 for $49.99, both on contract after rebates.

WTF is T-Mobile thinking, releasing a new WinMo phone that isn't 3G?
The only "EDGE" phones they should be releasing these days are basic non-feature phones.
Just lets everyone know how far they are from system-wide 3G.
We can only hope that T-Mobile will skip straight to the HD Touch Pro, since they missed the boat on the Touch Pro.
You'd think they'd want at least a few devices for business users wanting to use exchange push email. They had such promise with the SDA and MDA, then went off a cliff by not updating the Wing and Dash.
While still crossing my fingers, I'm hoping that they both bring the HD Touch Pro, and that Mobile 7 comes out in time for it to be onboard.
Someone extract that UMA stuff and post it on xda-developers.com so it can pe ported to the Dash and other t-mob winmo devices! Hope it's not too proprietary to the hardware!
