Samsung rumors aplenty surface in advance of MWC

We've already seen some Samsung rumors start to crop up in advance of Mobile World Congress, and it looks like the flood gates have now fully opened up, with a slew of new leaks and rumors of varying veracity now making their way across the internet. Leading the way is word from Dutch site GSM Helpdesk, which has apparently confirmed that Samsung will indeed be introducing both a 12 megapixel phone (in Photoshop form above) and an 8 megapixel handset at MWC, the latter of which will supposedly be a successor to the Innov8 and run the Symbian S60 OS, while the 12 megapixel phone will apparently be an all new handset of some sort and run Samsung's own OS. In other news, GSM Helpdesk is also reporting that Samsung will be announcing its very first Android phone within the next two weeks, which just so happens to line up nicely with MWC, although it unsurprisingly doesn't have any more details than that.
Update: Sorry for the confusion about the 16GB Omnia. Turns out it's not new at all.

I wonder when they will release the T*Omnia (with the 800 x 480 screen) in North America.
While I expect great things from all the manufacturers, I have a feeling Samsung is going to knock it out of the park at MWC this year, at least from a specs perspective.
The 16GB version of the Omnia was introduced along with the 8GB version. It's only in some markets that it's available, though.
Looking forward to what Samsung has to show at MWC.
What the hell. Samsung Omnia 16 GB is available long enough, and I have it!
I even wrote about it here - http://www.mobilebond.com/samsung-i900-review-part-1/
I'll write more.. but what i wanted to say.. engadget is my fav source of mobile phones information and hope this won't repeat again.
I think in france it's more known as player addict version and in russia witu version...

there is nothing gayer than a company that has to pront how many megerbiters are in their phones on the front. GAWD.
New I have had a Samsung Omnia 16 GB (to which I added a 16 GB SD card, for a total of 32 GB on my Omnia) since november 2008.
It's a good phone but somehow i prefer my other phone, HTC's touch HD, which I carry for personal use it's got 8 GB less and it lacks the Omnia's genial mini mouse and some other finesses, but its big, very sensitive screen is unbeatable for mobile browsing (and other stuff)
symbian s60 on the 8 megapixel phone? does that mean that voip will actually work like it should?
