LG Arena KM900 touchscreen phone shows itself in print

We got a whiff of this one last month courtesy of the FCC, but it looks like LG's new Arena KM900 touchscreen phone is now fully making its way out into the open, with the above image and some specs to go along with it surfacing in advance of MWC. As you can see above, this one bears a little resemblance to the Samsung Omnia, and boasts a 5-megapixel camera (plus a secondary one for video calls, it seems), built-in GPS, WiFi, and what's described as an "innovative S-Class 3D interface." Unfortunately, complete specs are still a bit of a mystery, but the phone is apparently on track to hit Europe as soon as March, and it seems a pretty safe bet that LG will have more to say about this one at MWC later this month.

I'll be absolutely AMAZED if Apple doesn't sue LG.
Maybe you're new to the whole cell phone thing, but those icons have existed on older handsets for a while. Similar icons were on my Moto V710, my T720 and pretty much on every phone made since LCD screens went Color.
The fact that someone put them all on the front screen seems like a natural progression to me... Ironically enough, Apple was not even the first one to do it since LG (the ironic part) put them on in the Prada first.
-sick of hearing every other iPhone owner bitch about stolen IP.
ok well i dont have an iPhone and that thing looks almost EXACTLY like an iPhone. it aint just the UI either.
Given the number of touchscreens we will see in the near future I am sceptical of Apple's strategy of going out sueing competition. I hope it puts the efforts on improving it own offering (i am sure it is already, on priority).
Well sure, but this things UI is just about a straight up copy of the iPhones...There's "everyone is doing full screen touchscreens" and then there's straight up copying it icon for icon (just about).
@Scott:
I understand your point, LG has just about done enough for it not to be an icon to icon copy. I am thinking N97 on the hardware though, wat do you think;) ?
No opinion or first hand knowledge of that one...
Just ignore that Scott ;)
Btw I am surprised (never realised that before), same article in engadget and engadgetmobile has different comments threads, link below to the engadget.com page:

Any ideas Don???
yawn.... get something new
Look at all the prototype phones that are coming out, the majority use the same icons. So that means Apple has the right to sue every company that uses those icons?
who cares if it looks something like other phones, its the hardware & software which will determine if it is appealing to the customers. I'm curious about to say the least and does look easy on the eyes
