Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"I've found myself using my PC for a lot of conversations lately, and I'm also considering recording a podcast to share with anyone who will listen. There are tons of USB headset / microphones out there, and I'm hoping someone has some solid recommendations based on experience. I'll consider both headsets and standalone mics, by the way, but I'd like to keep the bill under $100 if possible. Help!"
Yep- come on, Engadget, it's plainly made for China. It's been floating around Japan ages ago as the 821SH; it's only now taking to the streets of CHINA as the SH6010C.
For future reference- xxxSH/SH-xxA/SHxxx is a made-for-Japan model (Softbank/DoCoMo/KDDI in that order) while SHxxxxC is made-for-China (the reason this is such a big deal is that Sharp has decided in its infinite wisdom to cut costs by using the MTK chipset more commonly used by phones featured in the KIRF section of this website. So in essence, it's Sharp in name only.
And you missed its successor the SH6018C, based on the 823SH. That's new, this isn't.
In short- this is probably going to be Sharp's Razr. Prices started dropping almost as soon as it came out, and it runs significantly differently from every other Sharp phone in existence (due to the MTK chipset- I'm guessing Sharp couldn't use the chipset they used in the 821SH because that was 3G-only, and China doesn't have 3G (won't until May).
and we should care because...
@FoneFreakUSA- because for all its faults it still kicks the pants off anything offered in the USA at that price point.
