Conduit mobile phone concept is about 40 years early
As much as we adore this concept, we're not even remotely hopeful something like this will become a reality within the next score or so. That said, we'd love to be proven wrong, as the Conduit is quite possibly the most fantastic phone design to ever be conceived. With a hint of steampunk, a dash of Star Trek and a splash of ergonomic appreciation, this here mobile can be collapsed into a pocket-friendly form or expanded into a bona fide video phone. Hit up the read link for a few more looks, and feel free to give these designers a chunk of capital to make our dreams come true.

I expect bionic chips with integrated retinal implants to come before that ... nice concept tho
Hopefully those retinal implants will just give us virtual holographic phones that will relieve us from having something so complicated.
The rollable screen is of question. What material it will be? And how much will this phone cost? I think the keypad is the ugliest in the world. Keypad should be 12 keys alpha numeric, not 6 like the one in the pics.
On the surface the concept seems very interesting, but it also seems to ignore the whole area of use cases that are part of being mobile -- completing tasks on the go with one hand. Personally, I'd rather have the screen integrated into my eye glasses with a gesture-based input system. :)
