QWERTY iDEN Motorola i465 official press shot leaked
Well, what do we have here? Yep, that's the Motorola i465, the first iDEN phone with a full QWERTY keyboard in the entire universe in a seemingly official press shot. Mobile Review's somehow gotten ahold of this slick piece of photography, which shows the dumbphone off in a much better light than we've previously seen. We still don't know much else about the specs, or when this Sprint-Nextel bound puppy will show up.

The Blackberry Curve 8350i doesn't count as a QWERTY iDEN device?
Maybe she meant first
"dumbphone thats trying to make you think you're getting more than it really is phone when you should've just gotten the Blackberry in the first place phone, but, hey this is the real deal Motorola Nextel phone!"
This phone would have been really impressive if it was 2000.
I was thinking the same thing
wow how long did this take?!? at least it looks modern.... just got out of my time machine from the year 2002
There have been at least four QWERTY iDEN phones:
BlackBerry 6510
BlackBerry 7510
BlackBerry 7520
BlackBerry Curve 8350i
Also, the i465 was approved by the FCC yesterday.
Nah, that thing still looks ugly. And the keyboard looks painful. Come on, Motorola. Bring back the days of the RAZR! Back then, your design was cutting edge. Let's see some new ID out of you.
The "days of the RAZR" are what got Motorola into its current mess.
I don't think I agree entirely. Yes, milking the RAZR with so many form factors and revisions was a big mistake. But if they had kept design and software as innovative as the RAZR was when it came out, they would be in a different place entirely.
My unserstanding is that this is going to be the first BOOST full qwerty device, not nextel.
I think what they meant to say was first MOTOROLA Iden phone with a full QWERTY not first IDEN phone with a full qwerty, which would make it true.
Yes the keyboard isnt pretty....bottom line is Its a full qwerty device for Boost Mobile.
It will sell. Alot of people dont like clamshell phones and Boosts current Candybar phones are too thin aside from the 49.99 model. People certainly will get this @ its 109.99 price if they dont have $299 for the i9
Boost needs more than just Candybar and Flips and as of now they only have 3 different models...Though not as lovely as a E71 or a Blackberry its still sufficeint enough for Boost customers who wanna take full advantage of its unlimited text.
Good luck trying to use the text message service on iDen's network. I had nextel and boost before and it would take hours to get a text message.
So last week I tried to send a txt msg to a friends nextel and still the same crap....he got his msg the next day.
iDen's network is so crapped out its just matter of time before someone buys sprint/nextel out.
It's all about the USA,isn't it? I mean when would the G1, G2,Palm Pre and 3g be lauched in India? People live here also.I am tired of waiting.
Because India's too tired and busy doing OUR work.
HA!
Please don't get offended, friends.I wanted say,I have been using n6630 for 5 years.I want to buy a decent smart phone now.iPhone is priced at $800(36000INR) here, and the fact is it's not quite a smart phone. If G1 or G2 is launched at $400,I am definately buying it.
