Melinda Gates secretly pines for iPhone, actually doesn't even like Africa
In a recent Vogue interview, Melinda Gates confided that she's battled some iPhone envy in her day: "Every now and then I look at my friends and say 'Ooh, I wouldn't mind having that iPhone'." It's just too bad for her that Apple is forbidden fruit in the Gates household. "There are very few things that are on the banned list in our household. But iPods and iPhones are two things we don't get for our kids," said Melinda. Stay strong, Mrs. Gates, we're hearing good things about Windows Mobile 7. Oh, and we made up that part about Africa.

:)
"I have an iPod like the rest of the world."
Ok, you have fun with that. I'll enjoy my Zune, iPhone, 3 iPods, and Windows based computer while you sit in Apple's controlling little dream world. Have fun in there, apparently everybody's doing it. The few outcasts will watch, saving hundreds, and, y'know, have choice.
By all means, stay there, no reason to come out.
I be sad too if I was forced to use a zune instead of a ipod
Given how many times mine and my friend's NEW iPods crash I can't say I'd be sad if someone offered me a Zune in exchange right now...
How are you ever going to put out decent products if you don't use the leading product of the day? It's like refusing to drive cars because your family business is horse-drawn carts, not using electric light bulbs because light by candle/oil worked just fine, not using Windows OS because your business ran CP/M ...
This is why imo some Asian economies are dominating now. They embraced, extended, and then dominated it.
There are other MP3 players outside of iPods and Zunes, ya know.
And @NuShrike, that's not like how it is at all. The only advantage gained by using an iPod is ease of use and I would expect the Gates family doesn't need a device that holds their hand. If anything, I would imagine the house rule is to buy whatever works with WMP or any other Windows based media application that doesn't use way too many resources. It's like refusing to use products built for the general consumer because being above that has made him the richest man in the world.
I am using my Zune almost everyday! 120GB of pure GOLD!
250CAD with a home AV KIT, a remote control and a video output cable.
I tried the Ipod, and the sensitivity SUCKS!
Microsoft will always be my choice.
I am not even buying the Itouch because I am sure if microsoft releases a touch screen device like it, it will kick Apple's ASS!
WAZAA!
Cheers guys/gals
