Leak sauce: new AT&T Fuze firmware brings bugfixes aplenty
The plain vanilla Touch Pro's been getting loved lately, so why not those branded versions, too? AT&T's Fuze is about to get blessed with a firmware update, it seems, but there's no reason to wait for official word straight from the horse's mouth -- the good folks at xda-developers have already made good things happen. There's a frigging crap-ton of fixes all piled into the build, so it seems like a must-have for anyone pocketing a Fuze these days; it'll be at least a few more months yet before you have a chance to pull out the plastic for that Touch Pro2, right?[Via Fuze Mobility]

It is rumored that Prince Alwaleed Bin Talal managed today to purchase a phone line from VIVA (55555555) through an auction at a price of 360,900 KD
Thank God! I'm so sick of having to reset this piece of S***....I guess thats what i get for giving up my BOLD
Just updated my ROM...GPS works a lot better and overall performance seem to be improved!
To bad there a plenty of bugs to fix.
I'm not a WM hater, I just hate all of the bugs and problems in WM.
This ROM is faster than the stock ROM, has a new Windows Mobile build, permits push to talk remapping out of the box and has slide to answer built in among other things. From the comments on FuzeMobility and at XDA it runs a lot better. Plus the ported version of the new Touch Pro 2 version of Touch Flo 3D will likely be released in final form for the Fuze within the week so that will really add to it.
Hey, can you tell me how to flash my fuze with the new AT&T rom? I see you've just done, and I've been searching the net to find out hwo. I found the build at rapidshare. I see for cooked rom's it requires all kinds of work. Can I just install the AT&T rom by extracting it? Thanks for your help.
This is why I won't buy anymore branded devices. Too much junk from the carriers that we're all likely to never use during the lifespan of the devices. On top of that, branded devices get their firmware updates late, if at all. Hell, almost 2 years after the T-Mobile Wing was released and they still haven't released even a WinMo 6.1 update.
I considered buying the next WinMo 6.1 Pro device T-Mo releases and flashing the generic firmware on it but I may just spring for the unbranded variant.
WhatADouche - you can always just remove the bloatware when you install a new ROM. The Fuze is obviously cheaper since it's from a carrier and you also get the extra PTT button to give another mappable button. I agree that the unlocked Touch Pro is the best but for the extra money it's hard to justify...
hey where can you update it at can someone please give the link
Jae - go to the fuzemobility link and it's there
Has anyone heard if Verizon has come out with their Touch Pro Firmware fix yet?
Ive been using this new ROM for a few days and am really impressed by the performance enchantments and improved battery life but as an owner of the Fuze since launch I'm POed that it wasn't like this out of the box.
Hi, I see you updated your ROM. I have a new AT&T Fuze and would like to update mine. I found the EXE at rapidshare, but I have no idea what to do next...
Could you tell me? I've searced the forums and I see the steps for a cooked rom, but not for the AT&T branded one.
Thanks,
