Motorola RUSH 2 for Verizon is the A455, looking better than before
Of those leaked Verizon-bound Motorolas we saw back in December, the RUSH 2 wasn't one of the devices that stood out -- blame the cartoonish keyboard and color scheme, if you like -- but the little texter's all growed up now, and she's looking a lot better for it. Apparently rechristened the A455, Mobile-review has also discovered that it'll have a touchscreen, EV-DO, Bluetooth, GPS, and a camera (imagine that). Unfortunately, the user interface looks just about as boring as anything Verizon has allowed into its lineup in the past couple years, but hey, as long as it's got a decent keyboard and a dirt-cheap sticker, it'll sell. Last we'd heard, this would be out in the first quarter of 2009, so we'll see if this somehow manages to materialize before the month's out.

Bleh! Motorola is slackin. Bluetooth, a camera, and GPS..... They coulda made this an Iden phone for boost instead of givin the i465. Rather have this slider than that candbar Qwerty. They could price this under $150.....
I think there's a pretty good reason they didn't make this an iDen phone. $$$.
where is the flash? THAT phone should be announced
The use of a touchscreen seems odd. Makes me wonder if we'll be seeing a full HTML browser on there. Otherwise, it'll be Verizon's first/only touchscreen device without one. The screen doesn't look up to the challenge, though.
Yeah, the screen does look pretty damn small. It's not going to be fun trying to read web pages on there. It looks like a cousin to the Glyde, and although the screen is smaller, as long as it actually works, I'd go for one. I'm on my 5th Glyde already; all i want is a non-smart-phone with a good keyboard for texting and a semi-capable browser.
This looks great, I would get this!
I disagree completely. The original design was a lot better. Not only did it look a lot better, but it didn't have a whole bunch of space taken up with all those unnecessary buttons at the bottom of the screen. The new version just looks cluttered.
Though the original keypad looks better, I'm inclined to believe this new one if worlds more in functionality.
i like the original one also this one looks cheaper
