Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"I've found myself using my PC for a lot of conversations lately, and I'm also considering recording a podcast to share with anyone who will listen. There are tons of USB headset / microphones out there, and I'm hoping someone has some solid recommendations based on experience. I'll consider both headsets and standalone mics, by the way, but I'd like to keep the bill under $100 if possible. Help!"
Yes, I hope you're right. I'm tired of seeing all the best hardware going to other carriers. Verizon does have the best network, but much of it goes to waste because of the last-gen and/or crippled hardware. I agree that a favored position with RIM would be worth losing favor with Microsoft or WinMo phone manufacturers, at least until we see what WinMo 7 is like. It seems like all the WinMo handsets Verizon gets are watered down anyway, so what's the point? The only problem I see with this theory is that LG has committed pretty heavily to WinMo and Verizon seems pretty heavily committed to LG. Smartphones aside, I am a fan of LG, but I think I would choose RIM over them for smartphones any day. I hope LG's new WinMo phones go to another carrier and Verizon sticks with HTC and the new Omnia HD for WinMo, then works on getting more Blackberries from RIM.
