The only thing that would make me LOVE the HTC brand even more is if it would dump the clunky WM and go all Android. I cannot WAIT for an Android device on VZW.

I don't see how the X1 would ever win, at least in the US. The silly pricetag on it has never been justifiable and now that the TP2 is right around the corner with a larger screen and overall sexier looks (and probably bound for a US carrier with a hefty subsidy), the TP2 is the clear winner for those who can still stand WM.
The back of the TP2 looks fugly. It's got the edge on the look of the touch screen but the SEX1 definitely has the sexier look and appeal.
i dont understand the people that get their hands on prereleased units but cant ever seem to take a decent photo.

You must be kidding, this is more like a brutal beat-down.
The only thing the X1 has over the TP2 is a 3.5mm jack.
TP2 for the easy victory.
The TP2 wins hands down and is absolutely awesome, the 3.6" WVGA will kick the crap out of any device but the TG01. A few things I don't like the TP2 though -
1) Its rounded design - right-angled rounded is cool but the TP2 is too rounded, unlike the more rectangular-shaped original Touch Pro, which just looks more organized in way, better. The keyboard layout follows an overly rounded pattern too, and...
2) Speaking of the keyboard, they took out a lot of keys from the original TP, like 10+. I realize the roundiness and the less keys is made for comfort and that it appeals to a lot of people though, so... What are you gonna do...
3) I wish htc or the carriers would consider changing the silver to black, it would look better, especially the back, which I would agree is kinda ugly.
4) If they could snap a 3.5mm jack and the 1GHz processor from the TG01 this would be the perfect device, but those are only distant dreams, maybe Touch Pro 3...
A few phones have come close to being like the best thing ever for their time, but there's only 1 or 2 things that prevent them from being the best... It's like they're doing it on purpose.
the keys look awesome and very easy to use! they look like they're the tic-tac style.
Once, the Pre is released on Sprint. Im never going back to Windows Mobile no matter how "impressive" it may look. After WebOS I would choose an android device and if not that then a basic flip phone but never Windows Mobile ever again.

Now here me out, I personally don't like the look of the Touch Pro 2 at all. It's too rounded for me and while I could bear with that if it were slim, round and bulky do not make for pretty looks. I don't like the look of the back on the TP2 at all, and I really like the X1's back. You might say I'm a fanboy, but I really like this phone, so if that makes me a fanboy so be it.
I'll give that the TP2 has the bigger screen, but those of you raving about the Touch Flo 3d thing should remember that a bunch of OS's have already been ported to the X1 including Touch Flo 3d, Windows Mobile 6.5 (beta), MobileShell, ect. So you can't even compare the interfaces seeing as you can customize it to whichever you prefer (no doubt the Touch Pro 2 will have ports for other OS' within a month of its release).

Yeah, the HTC got a bigger display, and on this picture it looks even bigger, because it is closer to the camera. HTC's round shape is realy ugly. I prefer Xperia. It's not necessary to have a bigger display, since it's already big enough, and it's much more pocketable. So, you can do the same thing's as on the HTC Touch Pro2, along with the nice fitting in your pocket. It' s a cell phone not a computer. If I need a bigger display, I'll buy a mini lap-top... Not saying HTC is bad.....!
