The Instinct S30's back in the news again ahead of an official announcement, and we've got to say, Sprint: great call staying away from the rumored "Mini" label. The S30 looks like a straight-up upgrade from the
original Instinct -- not merely a miniaturized version of it -- mainly on account of the smoother chassis that seems to give the phone a more finished look. Like the
Sanyo 2700, it seems the S30 will be available at least in blue and pink, and the form factor certainly lends itself to a whole palette if Sprint thinks it can push 'em off shelves. As you might recall, the first Instinct was announced nearly a year ago at
CTIA, so it'd be kind of appropriate of the S30 bowed at CTIA this year, wouldn't it? We'll know in just a few weeks' time.

Update: Our tipster tells us that this color is actually "copper," not pink. The camera sure plays some nasty tricks, doesn't it?

Syncing with MAC and PC is key for me to carry or replace a treo,blackberry, or IPHONE. their info syncs between any device
I am not a fan of them not including the extra battery, charger and headset either

Are you SERIOUSLY trying to put an Instinct in the same category as an iPhone, BlackBerry and Treo?
Crack is whack. And that statement proves it.
Being that he's obviously foreign means he might not do english so well, but I don't think his comment was that hard to understand. Pretty sure that he was saying that all of those devices sync with mac and pc, so for this to replace what he might have it should have that ability.

Just to clarify something that I have seen on all other sites about this phone.....it is not pink!!!! This backing and trim is copper, i can see that people may get it confused with pink especially from the pictures provided, but I have seen this phone in person and held it in my hands. It is a copper color and looks much better in person, just don't want people to think it is pink.
Those pics look like they were taken with the original instinct.

I'm so glad I sold my Instinct on ebay a week ago. That phone pretty much sucked and I knew something like this would happen. I was lucky enough to get $315, now that this news is out the going prices are probably much lower. I'm back to using my original Katana and that money is being saved for the Pre. I don't know why anyone would get this phone though (sure the copper is probably pretty slick) unless theyve never heard of the Palm Pre. Personally I'd rather have that new Sanyo SCP-2700 than this any day also.
The Instinct is such a bad phone. Anything to do with making a call is more terrible than the rest of the phone, but that's pretty bad too. I barely use it, and I'm not sad that I don't. I used my pre-paid Sidekick II with a keyboard that peels up more than I use this new phone. I can't wait until the Pre comes out so I can get rid of this waste of time and money. The only good thing is that the rebate from Sprint was so large, they pretty much paid us to buy it.
