AT&T leaving an S60 device "relatively untouched" would be like saying Terrell Owens is a relatively difficult teammate. There is absolutely no way the carrier didn't make *some* changes; otherwise why the need for the "x"?
Hopefully those changes don't ruin the phone in the same vein as the 6682, E62, etc. If Nokia can get its app store out quickly enough, this could become the phone to finally push S60 into the minds of American phone users.

I believe the biggest differences between the E71 and E71x is the X loses the front camera for video calls and it runs the updated Feature Pack 2
The e62 was to the e61 as the e63 is to the e71 today. They didn't cripple it, they just picked the cheap model.
