Nokia E71x arriving at AT&T stores, due out next Tuesday
Looks like the Nokia E71x is finally about to make its long-awaited entrance on AT&T -- Boy Genius says handsets are starting to show up at stores nationwide. If all goes according to plan, this slice of subsidized style will set you back $199 on contract when it launches on March 24 -- a price that sort of makes us wish we'd sprung for that one-day-only $289 unlocked unit on Amazon. Come on, AT&T, at least hit us with that super hot white version, will you?

Its missing a trackball but I wonder where they got the styling from?
They got the styling from the E61.
LOL @ Chris's comment. No wonder you are low ranked.
All I want to know is which version of S60 this will rock. The E71 normally has 3.1, but once upon a time, the rumor was that the E71x would sport 3.2 (feature pack 2). Does anyone know if that rumor is coming true?
From what I heard and saw the E71x has been delayed since it failed TA and it wont be out till at least May
Hmm they were very secretive about that... anyway, what happened to the podcast? shouldnt it be up by now?
I hope the new software fixes the dropped call issue, I had a E71 with AT&T and had atleast 5 dropped calls a day. So I decided to get the Nokia E63 and I have not had one dropped call so far!!
dropped calls?? Maybe the network sucks in your area. I haven't had a dropped call in north Jersey since I've bought my unlocked one two weeks ago. Now my friend who has the gayPhone has had dropped call issues in the DC area. Happened last evening while I was on the phone with her. I just love sticking it to iPhone people. They think they're so hip and cool with their trendy phone. Anyway, I can't wait to walk into an AT&T store and compare mine to their version. I really want to see how it stacks up and what accessories you get with it.
so no podcast this week, thats disapointing
i like the all black, but the price sucks ($250 plus tax less a $50 rebate). If you buy it unlocked, then AT&T doesn't know you have it, you can get away with the $15/month data plan instead of the $30/month they're likely to charge (though BB connect might not work). At that rate, it'll pay for itself to buy the unlocked version in months.
Be careful with that 15/month data feature. Little known fact: if you ever hit a gig of data on that feature, they DO check your imei (as reported by the sim) and if its a smartphone they charge you 0.01 per kb. I'll let you do the math on that.
It's in the terms of service. Read it.
Edit: 15/month is researched after 200megs. It's the 30/month that is researched after 1gig (used for tethering or the like)
I had dropped calls in Sunnyvale and Cupertino until I disabled GSM on my E71
Now I have had ZERO in 3 months.
ATT's GSM/HSPA handoff is totally broken in the Bay.
I wouldn't get your hopes up for the March 24th date in stores.
