AT&T's Samsung Propel Pro hands-on

AT&T's Propel Pro ups the ante not only in build quality and material, but the new set is also reborn as a proper smartphone thanks to the inclusion of Windows Mobile 6.1. Though like its predecessor, we find a QWERTY keypad for the much loved messaging features, a 3 megapixel camera, and a well thought out and put together metal housing -- though the latter does add heft to an already chubby device. So, what do we like? Well, the display is right on, the keypad is solid, and the $149 price tag is definitely going to win it some fans looking for a messaging device that'll do a bit more. The heft on the other hand is a bit much, and we're still troubled by the almost square form factor, but what do we know, people loved the Samsung Propel. We'll take some more time to get to know it tomorrow and hopefully add a little video to the mix -- and some decent lighting.

What is the video/multimedia performance? How would you compare it to the BlackJack II?
Oh it looks nice. Awfully glossy though. And what is with the mega swag pile in the background!?
A bit like a WinMo E71: compact, shiny / reflective, QWERTY messenger.
17 pictures and you dont have a clear full pic of the keyboard?? how many side and back shots do you need?
FAIL
totally agree....
Plus 11ty billion. Want to see the keyboard!
From what I could see though, it looks like much better than the Blackjack and Blackjack II. And looks to have the Blackberry-esque 'smile' shape.
Wow. Look at the finger prints and I know if I lay that down on a table the back will get a whole bunch of scratches as well.
I thought the original was a good design and would be good with WinMo 6.1 and up but the casing is ridiculous.
Dude, could you at least wipe the KFC grease from your hands before you handle the phone? Looks like it has been smeared in vaseline!
This phone seems to have "Android" written all over it, I'd say.
The Samsung Propel Pro is the enterprise-targeted followup to last year’s Propel, and now has a redesigned keyboard, Windows Mobile 6.1 and wi-fi, to go along with a (literally) shiny new body.
