What the
Snap lacks in flair, it makes up for in sheer, unadulterated function -- and having an utterly awesome keyboard certainly helps in that regard. It's easy to pass off HTC's latest portrait QWERTY handset as a bit frumpy from photographs, but trust us when we say that it's totally passable in person (some might even call it insanely attractive) -- think of it as the anti-
8900, if you will. Pictured on the Snap above is the configuration screen for Inner Circle, which HTC also introduced this week. There's really not much to it -- you can add email addresses from your address book or from incoming emails, and when Inner Circle is enabled, only emails from those contacts will be visible in the Snap's unified account-agnostic inbox. It's a great idea for shutting out the electronic noise most of us experience in our day-to-day lives, and we're hoping this little feature finds its way to HTC's full WinMo lineup going forward. Follow the break for a video tour of the phone (and pay close attention, Yanks, 'cause it'll be coming your way as the S522 in the next few months).
Ugly, I would prefer instead Blackberry(don't remember those model names, bold, curve o.O ) or Nokia 63 and 71.. But who listens me, I just bought on monday Nokia 5800.
You mean you don't want to take a ride on the Meatbus?
i'm officially purchasing this telephone.......as soon as a US compatible one shows up.
I'd feel more excited if there was a WCDMA 1700/2100 MHz version. T-Mo kind of needs an upgrade for the Dash.
I'm really liking this. I thought I was gonna hold out for the Touch Pro 2 but being the Blackjack II owner that I am, this seems to be a suitable upgrade.
Gotta stick with that form factor.
I have the Blackjack II as well. I was considering trying Symbian and getting at&t's Nokia E71x, but they cut the talk time in half, and I realized just how much I need WinMO for work and play, so I think this will be the phone for me, too.
Are you serious, this was one of the ugliest and most disappointing phones at the show. The pictures above do it justice, it was uglier in person.
i kinda like, finally a legit WiMo contender for the curve
Keyboard looks good at first, but then you notice where the stuff is. 456 is to the left, just enough to hit the 5 instead of the 4, I think. And unlike the Dash, the basic typing patterns are badly broken. L O L . and K I K , S W S X etc etc. Oh well. I await the Samsung OMNIA HD, or this new Memoir, ANYTHING with OLED aka AMOLED. I am so sick of not being able to use my phone (a Dash, naturally) in the sun. Or even partial shade.
awesome. i just needed to change my profile
