This phone didn't have that. S60 FP1. My wife's been using it for a long time now & really likes it a lot. It's got problems, but overall works well & is super easy to use/type on.
The screen transitions are an effect that can be turned on and off. On the N85, for some reason the default setting is off. Since the E71x is also Feature Pack 2 I'd guess that it's probably set to off by default as well.

I know the unlocked E71 runs on FP1..but the AT&T E71x is suppose to run on FP2....
