Telus launches Samsung OMNIA

Telus announced it's sitting down with the Samsung OMNIA fanclub today. You should all be well versed in all things OMNIA by now, but if not, here's a quick rundown. This slate features a 3.2-inch touchscreen to let Windows Mobile 6.1 with TouchWiz shine, 8GB of storage, a 5 megapixel camera, WiFi, and the cute little touch sensitive d-pad. Pricing is $499 off contract, $449 (roughly $400) on one year, $349 ($280) on two years, and $129 (about $100) on a three year stint. While we do love this handset, the fact we know Verizon's got it for only 99 bills makes that pricing a little hard to chew. Of course, if you're getting an itch for a new set -- and don't live in the US -- Samsung's OMNIA is available on Telus' site right now.

I am plan on getting one in the next day or so.Its seems to be a great phone lots of features and fits my needs.
Where in the world do you see an omnia for $99 bucks? It's definately not on Verizon's website.
Looks like they raised the price of it. It was $99 for all of February and March.
Verizon no longer has it for 99 anymore...the samsung promo is over and its back to 270 with a 70 MIR
i wonder if engadgetmobile does price protection??
I think every phone is more expensive in Canada. The cellular providers here love to charge a lot for the phone, and then a lot for a pathetic amount of minutes/data, and also lock you into a 3 year contract. It's just awesome. I love it here.
Yea still made pissed bout verizon changing the price so fast. Now i have to pay $100 more.
has anyone factored in the fact that the Canadian dollar DOES NOT equal the same value as the American dollar?
Finally.
Just got this phone for a week now and it's absolutely fantastic.
It has everything a WinMo phone should have (well, besides a socket to put the stylus in...)
I think that the Omnia and the Touch HD are the only WinMo phones I would recommend nowadays.
Check out my first week's impression in here:
